isolates is a slow math arcade game based on the concept of playing on a split-flap display. You may have come across one of these at an airport or train station. 


The game itself centers around solving number sequences as they descend the board by sending up either their digital root or complement.

This concept has been running as a subroutine in the back of my mind since around 1st grade, and I fully intend to spread it about. 

The design and functionality of the game is right about where I want it. I have already zenned out playing it for longer than I thought might be possible. 

The biggest hurdle to all of this is just explaining what it is. Once the basic concept is grasped, many folks find it as intriguing as they do challenging. Advanced techniques for solving for roots quickly become incredibly satisfying. Also, numbers can get big...
